Nowadays people are adopting the easiest alternative for the replacement of plants in their daily lives as there is a common misconception that growing plants involve a lot of time and money. This blog will provide you with the basic information needed to start growing some indoor plants right way and share the benefits of having these with your family.
Below are a few indoor plants listed which you can easily get from your local plant store or order online from the amazon website. Some people grow these indoor plants on their lawn or garden and if you are lucky to be acquainted or realted to such people then you can easily get sprouts or branches and grow them inside your house.

Snake plant
This is a low maintenance plant which you can grow in a potting bag or flower pot.
Growing tip: If you want to spread this plant throughout your house then ensure that the potting bag or flower pot has enough space to allow the new sprouts to come out. Allow the new sprouts to become small plants then cautiously cut the root and separate them from the parent plant and grow individually.
Benefit: a) It grows in any environment and filter out chemicals like benzene,formaldehyde, xylene, etc resulting in fresher air to make breathing easy.
b) It releases oxygen at night unlike other plants hence making it perfect to have in your bedroom as well.

Aloe Vera plant
Commonly known among the “natural healers”, the aloe vera plant has many benefits and usually likes a sunny spot.It is usually sold as a single plant and you can grow it in a potting bag or flower pot.
Growing tip: The new sprouts will grow in the same way as decsribed above for the snake plant. In order to allow the spreading of the roots to grow the new sprouts there should be enough space in the potting bag or flower pot.. Benefit:
a) Cleans the air and removes chemicals like formaldehyde.
b) The leaves are boiled in water and the vapour is breathed in to help alleviate asthma symptoms.
c) The gel inside the leaves are very effective at soothing burns and skin irritation. The leaves are also used to produce the aloe vera juice which has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties

Spider plant
This plant is easy to care and needs bright light.It has a funny way of propagation which is by spreading off new spider plants(spiderettes) off stalks.
Growing tip: Place the plant in a hanging pot or above ground level so as to allow the new spider plants to grow. Cut off the stalks and transfer them in new hanging pots to get more of the spider plants to spread in other rooms of your house
Benefit:
The spider plant cleans the air of all common volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that are emitted into the air in our homes by everyday items such as furniture, carpets and common household appliances.

Dracaena
It is a low maintenance plant and can easily adapt to different light environments
Growing tip: The plants often grow tall and require larger pots. The stalks can be cut off and transplanted in order to progate as these stalks will grow into new plants.
The plant like to be misted rather than watered
Benefit: Cleans the air as it removes benzene, formaldehyde, trichloroethylene, and xylene.

Boston Fern
Plant is relatively easy to grow but the soil need to stay moist.
Growing tip: Plant can be watered daily or give it a good soak once per month. Plant likes high humidity and indirect light.
The method of propagation is through the roots whereby the new sprouts come out and become small plants, hence transfer the plant to a bigger flower pot or potting bag to allow better propagation.

Peace Lily
These are small plants which are ideal for compact spaces.
Growing tip:This plant needs to be in a shady spot and the soil kept moist but without over watering
